The Trump campaign argues that Harris needed to file a Statement of Candidacy and have her name appear in the name of her authorized committee if she plans to run in 2024. However, her name does not appear on the committee’s name, and no Statement of Candidacy existed for her until Biden dropped out on Sunday. The Harris campaign has dismissed the complaint as baseless and states that they will continue to focus on building their campaign infrastructure and winning the election.
