The statement included the following remarks: “Activities deemed appropriate by the Governorship and district governorships, as well as events, plays, performances, and various forms of demonstrations and activities falling within the scope of Article 1 of the Police Duties and Authorities Law No. 2559, excluding the commercial activities of private legal entities with commercial identity, are likely to be prohibited in the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442 and the Meetings and Demonstrations Law No. 2911. ‘All outdoor events, gatherings, marches, press statements, hunger strikes, sit-ins, rallies, setting up stands, setting up tents, distributing leaflets and brochures, hanging banners/posters’ and similar activities, including participation from other cities, are banned in the provincial center and districts for a period of 5 days from April 2 to April 6, 2024.”
