A school bus accident in the Pirinçli village of the Yaylacı district resulted in the vehicle overturning, according to a statement from the governorship. Upon receiving a report of the incident, emergency medical services and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
The accident left the driver and 6 students on board injured. The injured individuals were taken to the Siirt Training and Research Hospital by medical teams. Unfortunately, one of the students did not survive despite the medical intervention.
Following the accident, an investigation was launched by the Şirvan Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Governor Kemal Kızılkaya visited the injured students at the hospital to inquire about their health conditions from the Provincial Health Director Erol Emre Ömür and Chief Physician Dr. Çağdaş Kaynak.
Expressing his condolences for the student who lost their life in the accident, Kızılkaya extended his sympathies and prayers to the family. The community is saddened by the tragic incident and efforts are being made to ensure the safety of students during their daily commute to school.
