The Turkish Coast Guard received a tip about irregular migrants in distress off the coast of Ayvalık, prompting them to take action. Upon reaching the area with their Coast Guard boat “KB-4510,” they rescued a total of 41 irregular migrants, including 16 children, who had been pushed back by Greek authorities.
The rescued migrants were brought to the Coast Guard Command in Cunda Island, where they received humanitarian aid such as food, water, medicine, and medical supplies. After providing necessary assistance, they were then transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Immigration for further processing.
