Niall Horan recently celebrated a major career milestone with two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, where he performed for a total of 15,000 fans on consecutive nights as part of his international “The Show” tour. The tour, which began on February 20 and is set to conclude on October 9, features songs from Horan’s 2020 sophomore album, “Heartbreak Weather.” Opening for Horan was Brooklyn-based artist Del Water Gap, who helped set the stage for the singer’s high-energy performances.

Horan, who first performed at Madison Square Garden as a member of One Direction in December 2012, became emotional on stage as he reflected on his journey to selling out the iconic venue as a solo artist. However, by the second night of the show, he was in a more celebratory mood, encouraging the audience to let loose and have a great time. Throughout the concert, Horan entertained the crowd with hits like “Heaven” and “Slow Hands,” as well as covers of songs like Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen” and One Direction’s “Stockholm Syndrome,” showcasing his versatility as a performer.

During the show, Horan repeatedly expressed his gratitude to his fans for their continued support, particularly after One Direction disbanded in 2015. He acknowledged the role his fans played in helping him achieve his dream of performing at Madison Square Garden as a solo artist, emphasizing the significance of the moment for him. Despite the emotional moments, the overall atmosphere at the concert was one of celebration and joy, with Horan encouraging the audience to fully immerse themselves in the experience and enjoy the music.

Horan’s setlist included a range of songs from his solo career, including his debut single “This Town” and tracks from his latest album “Heartbreak Weather.” The concert also featured a cover of Stevie Nicks’ classic song “Edge of Seventeen” and a performance of One Direction’s “Stockholm Syndrome,” showcasing Horan’s musical range and versatility as an artist. Throughout the evening, Horan interacted with the audience, creating a sense of connection and intimacy between himself and his fans.

“The Show” tour, named after Horan’s 2023 album, will continue with stops in various North American cities, including Toronto, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, before moving on to Ireland. The tour will then travel to international locations such as London, Mexico City, and Rio de Janeiro, before concluding in Bogotá, Colombia. With a diverse setlist and high-energy performances, Horan’s tour promises to be a memorable experience for fans around the world, showcasing his growth and evolution as a solo artist since his days with One Direction.
