Former President Donald Trump made headlines once again for ringing up a $200 fast-food tab while on Long Island after paying respects to a slain NYPD officer at a funeral home. Trump, along with his campaign staff, stopped at the popular All American Drive-In and requested a sizable order of 18 double cheeseburgers, 10 hot dogs, 2 quarter-pounder hamburgers with cheese, fries, and onion rings. The drive-in staff prepared the order within 10 minutes, and the meal was paid for by credit card with a generous cash tip included.

The manager of All American Drive-In, Richard Vultaggio, mentioned that Trump’s team also requested substantial ketchup and mustard on the side, and the former President reportedly enjoyed the meal. In addition, other customers at the drive-in were paying for cops and first responders, showing a sense of community and support. The gesture came after the funeral of NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, who was shot and killed while on patrol in Far Rockaway. The community came together to support the fallen officer and his family during this difficult time.

All American Drive-In has been a beloved local spot since 1963, known for its greasy burgers and affordable prices. The burger spot is a favorite among residents for its tasty food at low prices. Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino praised the drive-in for its delicious burgers, stating that it was a no-brainer for Trump’s team to stop by for a meal. Saladino mentioned his go-to order of a quarter pounder, fries, and a vanilla shake when visiting the drive-in.

Donald Trump has a well-known love for fast food, which he claims stems from a fear of being poisoned. In the past, Trump has made headlines for his fast-food preferences, including praising McDonald’s french fries as the secret to his unique hairstyle. He famously had McDonald’s cater a meal for the 2018 college football champion Clemson Tigers at the White House. Trump’s senior adviser, Daniel Scavino Jr., reminisced about his childhood visits to All American Drive-In and recommended the spot to others in his Facebook post.

Overall, Trump’s visit to All American Drive-In after paying respects to a fallen NYPD officer showcased a mix of community support, nostalgia, and the former President’s love for fast food. The gesture of providing a generous meal for law enforcement officers and first responders highlighted a sense of unity within the community. Alongside the affordable prices and tasty offerings of All American Drive-In, Trump’s visit added another chapter to his fast-food legacy. Whether it’s for security concerns or personal preference, Trump’s affinity for fast food continues to be a notable part of his public persona.
