In the Yeşilpınar neighborhood, a sarcophagus was found in the yard of a house owned by Fevzi M during electrical infrastructure work carried out by teams.
The homeowner reported the situation to the gendarmerie.
Coordinated by the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the sarcophagus was carefully removed from its location in the yard during the excavation work.
The sarcophagus, adorned with mythological figures, was taken to the Hatay Museum Directorate for further examination and preservation.
