In May, Netflix added several new titles including the sci-fi blockbuster “Atlas” starring Jennifer Lopez, the first four episodes of season 3 of “Bridgerton,” Jerry Seinfeld’s “Unfrosted,” and “Madame Web.” However, with new additions, some old titles are also leaving the platform at the end of the month. Some of the significant movies leaving Netflix include the final film in “The Hunger Games” franchise, the iconic comedy “Happy Gilmore,” and the groundbreaking drama “Boyz n the Hood.”

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2” concludes the popular franchise as Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and other rebels embark on a mission to liberate the citizens of Panem from President Snow. In “Happy Gilmore,” Adam Sandler stars as a hockey player who turns to golf to help his grandmother pay off her debts, despite his lack of manners. Meanwhile, “Boyz n the Hood” tells the story of young African Americans in South Central Los Angeles, tackling issues such as police brutality, race relations, gang violence, and the African American experience in America.

For fans of romance movies, “Forever My Girl” offers a heartwarming story about a country music superstar who returns to his small town after leaving his bride at the altar. Another action-packed addition is “Skyscraper,” starring Dwayne Johnson as a former FBI agent and war veteran who must save his family from mercenaries in the world’s tallest skyscraper. These varied selections cater to a range of genres and interests on Netflix.

Each of these movies offers something unique, whether it’s the thrilling conclusion of a beloved franchise, the comedic antics of an unconventional golf player, or the groundbreaking storytelling of life in South Central Los Angeles. With a mix of genres from sci-fi to romance to action, Netflix continues to provide a diverse selection of content for viewers to enjoy. While some titles may be leaving the platform, new additions ensure that there is always something fresh and exciting to watch on Netflix.
