Week 8 of the UFL featured four one-score games, including a match-up between the undefeated Birmingham Stallions and the Houston Roughnecks. The Stallions narrowly escaped with a 35-28 victory, thanks to a standout performance from quarterback Adrian Martinez, who threw three touchdown passes and rushed for two more. The Roughnecks put up a strong fight, with running back Mark Thompson scoring two touchdowns on the ground, but ultimately fell short in their upset bid.

In the game between the Memphis Showboats and the Michigan Panthers, both teams got off to a fast start, combining for three touchdowns early in the game. Michigan ultimately came out on top with a 24-18 win, thanks to a strong performance from quarterback Brian Lewerke and tight end Cole Hikutini. Memphis quarterback Case Cookus and wide receiver Daewood Davis also put on a strong showing, with Davis scoring two receiving touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Panthers.

The DC Defenders faced off against the St. Louis Battlehawks in a rematch of their previous lopsided loss. This time, the Defenders put up a much stronger fight, taking the lead late in the game. However, the Battlehawks ultimately prevailed, with running back Wayne Gallman scoring two rushing touchdowns to secure a 26-21 victory. St. Louis rushed for a combined 141 yards and three scores, overpowering the DC defense in the crucial moments.

The Arlington Renegades took on the San Antonio Brahmas in a close contest that saw the Brahmas come out on top with a 20-15 win. Quarterback Quinten Dormady and running back Anthony McFarland led the way for San Antonio, connecting for a 52-yard touchdown early in the game. Dormady threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns, both of which went to McFarland, who finished with three receptions for 118 yards and two scores. The Renegades put up a strong fight, with quarterback Luis Perez throwing for 209 yards and two touchdowns, but they were unable to overcome the Brahmas’ offensive firepower.

Overall, Week 8 of the UFL was filled with excitement and close games, as teams battled it out on the field for crucial victories. The undefeated Birmingham Stallions faced a tough challenge from the Houston Roughnecks, while the Michigan Panthers, St. Louis Battlehawks, and San Antonio Brahmas all secured important wins to keep their playoff hopes alive. With the competition heating up as the season progresses, fans can expect more thrilling matchups and standout performances in the weeks to come.
