The Slovakian parliament reconvened for the first time since the shooting of Prime Minister Robert Fico, with a resolution calling for respect of election results and refraining from spreading hatred against the government. Many believe the attack on PM Fico stemmed from a toxic political atmosphere in Slovakia. Fico remains in serious condition after undergoing two surgeries and the investigation into the attack continues, with a male suspect in custody.
