A fatal car accident occurred on the Balıkesir road at the Police Memory Forest location, when an car driven by Havva Savaş collided with a truck driven by Ömer T. crossing the median strip.
The accident resulted in the death of the car driver and Sevim Savaş who was a passenger in the vehicle at the scene.
The truck driver, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to Mustafakemalpaşa State Hospital for treatment.
Following the accident, the road was closed for a period of time and traffic was diverted to a single lane.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and working to ensure the safety of the road for other drivers.
