21 suspected individuals, who were detained on charges of being active in the political structure of the terrorist organization PKK, have completed their legal processes at Istanbul Courthouse in the scope of the investigation led by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for Terror and Organized Crimes. Istanbul Duty Peace Criminal Judgeship ruled for the arrest of 6 of the suspects, while 15 suspects were released under judicial control measures.
The investigation, carried out by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for Terror and Organized Crimes, resulted in arrest warrants for 25 suspects who were found to be active within the terrorist organization PKK/KCK. Acting on the decision, the law enforcement forces conducted operations at 25 addresses and detained 21 suspects. Following the procedures at the police station, 10 of the suspects were requested to be arrested on charges of “being a member of an armed terrorist organization.”
After the completion of the legal procedures at the Istanbul Courthouse, the Istanbul Duty Peace Criminal Judgeship decided to arrest 6 of the suspects while releasing the remaining 15 suspects under judicial control measures. The suspects were detained on the grounds of being active in the political structure of the PKK terrorist organization.
The investigation conducted by Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for Terror and Organized Crimes targeted individuals who were involved in the activities of the terrorist organization PKK/KCK. The law enforcement forces carried out operations at different addresses to detain the suspects, resulting in the detention of 21 individuals. Following their transfer to the courthouse, legal procedures were carried out leading to the arrest of 6 suspects and the release of 15 suspects under judicial control measures.
