A group of Femen activists protested the arrival of Argentine President Javier Milei in Madrid to participate in a large event organized by Vox on Sunday. The protest took place in front of the Argentine embassy in Madrid, where Milei was meeting with executives from large companies. One of the slogans that could be heard was “Milei is fascism, not freedom”. The activists also called for justice for the three lesbian women who were murdered in Buenos Aires after a man threw a molotov cocktail into the hotel room where they were staying with a fourth woman who survived.

The protesters denounced Milei as a fascist and criticized his policies, accusing him of promoting hate and violence. They also called attention to the murders of the three lesbian women in Buenos Aires, demanding justice for the victims and an end to violence against women and the LGBTQ+ community. The activists highlighted the need for greater awareness and action to address gender-based violence and discrimination.

The activists’ demonstration drew attention to the controversial nature of Milei’s visit to Spain and his participation in the event organized by Vox. They sought to raise awareness about his political views and the implications of his policies, particularly regarding issues of human rights, equality, and social justice. By protesting in front of the Argentine embassy in Madrid, they aimed to send a message to both Milei and the government of Argentina about the importance of upholding democratic values and protecting the rights of all individuals.

The protest by the Femen activists reflects a broader concern about the rise of far-right movements and extremist ideologies around the world. By targeting Milei and denouncing his association with fascism, the protesters sought to challenge the normalization of hate speech and discrimination against marginalized communities. They emphasized the need for solidarity and activism to counteract the spread of divisive and exclusionary narratives that threaten the rights and safety of vulnerable groups.

Overall, the demonstration against Javier Milei’s visit to Madrid and his participation in the event organized by Vox was a powerful statement of opposition to fascism, hate, and violence. The activists’ call for justice for the victims of the Buenos Aires murders and their demand for an end to gender-based violence resonate with broader struggles for equality and human rights. Through their protest, the Femen activists highlighted the importance of solidarity and resistance in the face of rising authoritarianism and intolerance in the political landscape.
