The fire in a home in the municipality of Ricote, Murcia, in which three people died on May 9th, may have been intentional, according to investigations being carried out by the Civil Guard to clarify the incident. One of the lines of investigation that has gained importance in recent days is that someone outside of the deceased (the owner of the house, 88 years old, her partner, 81, and her son, 51) started the fire from the outside of the building. This conclusion was reached after a detailed inspection, although the Civil Guard insists that the investigation is ongoing and evidence is still being collected. The hypothesis of intentional arson is supported by threatening graffiti found on one of the back doors of the house, which said “Wachi, pay, you bastard”. These words are believed to refer to small debts incurred by the son of the homeowner for drug purchases. Evidence suggests that the fire originated on the exterior of the house.

The homeowner, who was a user of a teleassistance service, used her alarm device to alert about the fire around 2 am, but when the firefighters arrived, the fire had already spread throughout the interior of the house, preventing them from accessing it until it was extinguished. It was then that the bodies of the three deceased were discovered. Three days later, on May 12th, the Civil Guard also arrested a person in Ricote for setting fire to the door of another house after arguing with its owner. This incident only resulted in property damage, and the authorities believe the arrested individual has no connection to the fire in which the three people died.

The investigation into the fatal fire in Ricote continues, with the authorities collecting more evidence to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the incident. The discovery of threatening graffiti on the house’s door and the suspicion of intentional arson have led the investigation in a new direction, pointing to external involvement in the fire. The tragic deaths of three individuals have shocked the small municipality of Ricote, with the community seeking answers and justice for the victims. The Civil Guard remains committed to uncovering the truth and holding those responsible for the fire accountable.

The tragic incident in Ricote highlights the devastating consequences of intentional acts of arson, leading to loss of life and property damage. The impact of such events is felt most deeply by those closest to the victims, who are left to grieve and seek answers. The safety and security of residents in the community are paramount, and authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served in this case. The support and solidarity of the community in the face of such a tragedy are essential as the investigation progresses.

In the wake of the fire in Ricote, residents and authorities are coming together to support each other and seek justice for the victims. The discovery of threatening graffiti and the suspicion of intentional arson have prompted a renewed focus on the investigation, with efforts to gather more evidence and information. The collaborative efforts of the Civil Guard and the community are crucial in unraveling the circumstances of the fire and bringing closure to the affected families. The tragedy has underscored the importance of fire safety and prevention measures in ensuring the well-being of all residents, as well as the need for swift and effective responses to emergencies.

As the investigation into the fatal fire in Ricote continues, the community remains vigilant and united in seeking justice for the victims and holding those responsible accountable. The support and cooperation of residents, authorities, and local organizations are instrumental in advancing the investigation and ensuring that such a tragic incident does not occur again. The commitment to safety and security in the municipality of Ricote is unwavering, with efforts to prevent future tragedies and protect the well-being of all residents. The memory of the three individuals who lost their lives in the fire serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of community resilience and solidarity in times of crisis.
