Former President Trump is taking a break from his criminal trial in New York City to attend his youngest son Barron Trump’s high school graduation in Florida. Barron, who is 18 years old, will be graduating from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida in a private ceremony. It is unclear which university Barron will attend for college, but there is speculation that he may follow in his father’s footsteps and attend the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

The former president had been pushing for weeks to be allowed to attend Barron’s graduation, despite the ongoing trial in Manhattan. Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over the trial, ultimately granted Trump’s request to attend the graduation. However, Merchan denied Trump’s request to attend arguments at the Supreme Court regarding the matter of presidential immunity. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records and is maintaining his innocence. Meanwhile, Melania Trump, the former first lady, has expressed great pride in Barron’s accomplishments and the close relationship they share.

Melania Trump recently launched a jewelry line to honor moms ahead of Mother’s Day and raise funds for foster kids. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, she revealed that nothing makes her prouder than the relationship she has built with Barron. The trial is expected to resume on Monday with the continued cross-examination of the prosecution’s star witness, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen. Despite the ongoing legal issues, the Trump family is taking time to celebrate Barron’s graduation and support his educational achievements.

Before his request to attend Barron’s graduation was granted, Trump expressed pride in his son’s academic success and his excitement to be present for the milestone. Barron is described as a great student who has been looking forward to sharing his graduation with his parents. Trump had been required to attend court sessions every day, except Wednesdays, leading up to the graduation. The former president, also a presumptive Republican presidential nominee, continues to assert his innocence in the face of the charges against him in Manhattan.

Going forward, Barron’s future educational plans will be closely watched as he moves on to college. The Trump family has a strong tradition of attending prestigious universities, with several members graduating from the Wharton School and other respected institutions. Barron’s academic achievements and his graduation mark a significant milestone for him and his family. As they come together to celebrate this momentous occasion, the Trumps also navigate the ongoing legal challenges that have been a part of their lives in recent times.
