The 36-page indictment regarding the cable car accident in Antalya, where one person died and seven were injured, has been accepted by the 6th High Criminal Court. In the trial, 12 defendants, including Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz, will be prosecuted, five of whom are in custody. The defendants are charged with “causing death and injury by negligence” and “endangering traffic safety by negligence,” and face up to 27 years in prison.

The first hearing is scheduled to take place on June 11th. The incident has sparked outrage in the community, as families of the victims seek justice for their lost loved ones. The prosecution is seeking justice for the victims and their families, holding the defendants accountable for their actions that led to the tragic accident.

The cable car accident has raised concerns about safety measures and regulations in place for such attractions in the region. Authorities are under pressure to ensure that similar incidents are prevented in the future and that strict safety standards are enforced to protect the public. The trial is expected to shed light on the circumstances that led to the accident and hold those responsible accountable.

The defendants are facing serious charges that could result in lengthy prison sentences if found guilty. The court will carefully examine the evidence and testimonies presented in the case to determine the culpability of each defendant. The outcome of the trial will have significant implications for the safety regulations of cable car operations in Antalya and serve as a precedent for future cases involving negligence and public safety.

The families of the victims are hopeful that justice will be served and that those responsible for the tragic accident will be held accountable for their actions. The trial is a crucial step in the legal process to provide closure for the families and ensure that similar incidents are prevented in the future. The community is closely following the developments in the case, as they seek answers and accountability for the loss of life and injuries caused by the cable car accident in Antalya.
