The party stressed the importance of preventing a reactionary wave in European institutions and criticized the right for prioritizing the interests of a few over the broader population. Ribera also emphasized the importance of defending both the Israeli and Palestinian states, as well as upholding international order with rights and values.
The recent election results in Catalonia were used by the PSOE to showcase the effectiveness of Illa and Sánchez’s policies, which they believe benefit not only Catalonia but the entire country. The party criticized the PP for their interpretation of the Catalan elections, accusing them of preferring a victory for the independence movement.
