Saudi Arabian clubs targeting Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United stars in fresh transfer bid

The Saudi Pro League is preparing for a strong push into the Premier League during the upcoming summer transfer window, after spending over £750 million the previous year. Top targets reportedly include players like Alisson and Bruno Fernandes. Last summer saw significant signings of players like Sadio Mane and Neymar, as well as failed attempts to secure Mohamed Salah with a £150 million bid. Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson also made the move to the Middle East, but he left Al-Ettifaq in January after a rough spell.

Despite Henderson’s difficulties, Saudi clubs remain eager to pursue players from the Premier League. Reports suggest that up to 10 big-name signings are expected, with Manchester United players like Casemiro and Fernandes being targeted. Casemiro, who has been struggling recently, is a key focus for Al-Nassr, alongside stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. Talks have already begun with Casemiro’s representatives, indicating a potential move. United are open to selling him but won’t force him out. Bruno Fernandes is also on the radar of Saudi champions Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad. Other targets include Alisson, Ederson, Mohamed Salah, and Kevin de Bruyne.

United may demand a significant fee for any transfers, but negotiations are expected to begin early in the window. While Casemiro is a top target, other players like Fernandes are also under consideration. Fernandes has two years left on his contract and is not considered off-limits by United for a potential summer transfer. The Saudi League plans to reinvest in the transfer market, recognizing the opportunity to raise profiles during the window. Quotas for foreign players have been raised to facilitate clubs’ transfer activities.

The Premier League title race and upcoming Champions League games are heating up, with Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk set to face off in May for the undisputed heavyweight title. Meanwhile, Saudi clubs are gearing up for significant moves in the transfer window, aiming to secure top Premier League talent. The summer promises to be an exciting period for football fans, with speculation about potential transfers and player movements. Stay tuned for more updates as the transfer window approaches.
