The Osmangazi Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau teams conducted a search in the warehouse of a suspect named O.Ç. in Kemerçeşme neighborhood.
During the search in the warehouse, 1 cigarette rolling and filling machine, 1 scale, 11,000 wrapped macarons, 18,200 empty macarons without excise stamps, and 78 kilograms of chopped illegal tobacco in 7 nylon bags were seized.
The tobacco and materials, valued at around 300,000 TL, were confiscated, and the warehouse owner O.Ç. was taken into custody and handed over to the Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch.
The suspect is facing charges related to illegal tobacco possession and trafficking, and further investigations are being conducted into the case by the authorities. It is believed that the seized materials were destined for illegal sale on the black market.
