Trump also has a higher favorability rating, with 45% viewing him favorably compared to Biden’s 40%. Republicans are hopeful that Senate races in Montana, Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan, and Maryland will be pickup opportunities for them in November, as they only need to win two of these races in addition to holding their current seats in order to gain control of the Senate. If Trump were to win the White House, Republicans would only need to win one of the races to control the chamber.
