A tragic accident occurred at the Kılavuzlu Dam in the Kertel region, where a car with Samet Öztütün and his fiancée Hilal Ş inside, rolled off a park and plunged about 100 meters into the dam lake for unknown reasons.
Upon receiving the report from bystanders, authorities such as AFAD, health, and police teams, along with the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Underwater Search and Rescue team, were dispatched to the scene.
Rescue teams managed to save Hilal Ş, who was lightly injured after being ejected from the car.
Divers from the underwater search and rescue team searching in the dam lake found the lifeless body of Öztütün.
The body of Öztütün was taken to the morgue at the Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Training, Health, and Research Hospital for an autopsy.
It was revealed that Öztütün and Hilal Ş had gotten engaged approximately 2 months ago and were making preparations for their wedding before the tragic accident took place.
