A suspected individual who was allegedly searching for customers to sell historical artifacts in the Yenişehir district was taken into custody after being monitored by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command.
The suspect was apprehended during a raid on his address.
During a search of the place used as a warehouse by the suspect, 72 objects, including 2 statues of the Virgin Mary, a key, a candlestick, and a compass, were seized.
The artifacts have been handed over to the Museum Directorate for further examination.
The procedures for the suspect taken to the gendarmerie are ongoing.
