A fire broke out in two houses belonging to Ayşe Yüksel and Mehmet Yüksel in the Yüksek Mahalle of Beşpınar village in Bozkurt district. The fire, believed to have originated from the stove, quickly spread and grew larger. Upon receiving notification from the residents who saw the fire, fire brigade teams from Bozkurt and İnebolu districts as well as forest teams were dispatched to the scene.
The fire completely destroyed the two houses, reducing them to ashes. With the efforts of the teams that arrived at the scene, the fire was brought under control and extinguished before it could spread to other houses. As the teams continue with cooling operations at the fire zone, the two houses belonging to Ayşe and Mehmet Yüksel have been rendered uninhabitable.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
