Bread made measuring 3 meters and 80 centimeters in Sivas

Erdoğan Çiçek, a baker in Şehitler Mahallesi, had previously made a 1.90-meter long bread in 2015. This time, he has outdone himself by producing a bread that is 3.80 meters long. After 6 hours of preparation, Erdoğan Çiçek successfully made the gigantic bread, showcasing his skills and expertise in the craft.

In an interview, Erdoğan Çiçek mentioned that it took approximately 1.5 hours to bake the bread. He expressed his confidence in his abilities by stating, “I had previously made a 1.90-meter long bread. I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could make something bigger. I trust my skills, I am an expert in this field.” His passion and dedication to the art of baking are evident in his determination to push the boundaries of traditional bread-making.

Having started his career in baking in 1989, Çiçek emphasized the freshness and quality of his bread. He claimed that the bread he produces can stay fresh for at least 10 days. He also highlighted the uniqueness of his bread, stating that it requires around 130 individual bread loaves’ worth of ingredients. While Karadeniz (Black Sea) region is known for its bread-making traditions, Erdoğan Çiçek’s massive loaf stands out as a rare and impressive creation in Trabzon.

Ahmet Kılıç, a Turkish expatriate, expressed his amazement at seeing such a large bread for the first time. He recalled his surprise upon first encountering the gigantic loaf, stating, “We have seen long lavash bread, but never anything like this. Congratulations to my master, he has done an incredible job.” The novelty and scale of Erdoğan Çiçek’s bread left a lasting impression on Kılıç and other customers.
