Vitor Roque, an outcast at FC Barcelona, has been struggling with his situation at the club, to the point of crying, as reported by Mundo Deportivo. The Brazilian forward was brought to the club for €30 million last year, with a possibility of an additional €31 million going to his former club Athletico Paranaense as add-ons. His move was expedited to January 2024 due to a season-ending injury to midfielder Gavi, but he has found opportunities limited under manager Xavi Hernandez, with just 310 minutes played in 13 appearances, only two of which were starts.

Despite the hype surrounding his arrival in the winter transfer window, Vitor Roque has not been able to make his mark at Barcelona, with no appearances in the Champions League and a lack of playing time in important matches like the El Clasico against Real Madrid. Recent reports suggest that the club is considering offering him on loan to interested clubs, but the player and his entourage would prefer him to stay at the club. Xavi hinted at the possibility of a temporary assignment in a recent press conference, leaving the future of Vitor Roque uncertain.

The young Brazilian striker is said to be deeply affected by his current situation at Barcelona, with sources close to him noting a change in his demeanor. Known for his mental strength and joyous personality, Vitor Roque is now reportedly sad and unable to disconnect from his struggles at the club, even crying at home. He is frustrated with the lack of communication from Xavi and the limited opportunities provided to him, raising questions about his future at the elite level and the need for an improved relationship with the manager to showcase his talents.

While coaching staff sources dispute claims of poor communication between Xavi and Vitor Roque, it is clear that the player is not in a good place mentally and emotionally. His entourage and those close to him acknowledge his disappointment and frustration with the current situation, as he struggles to make an impact at Barcelona. With his playing time and opportunities limited, Vitor Roque’s future at the club remains uncertain, with a potential loan move on the cards to allow him to gain more experience and playing time elsewhere.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Vitor Roque in the coming weeks and months, as his struggles at Barcelona continue to weigh on him. The club’s decision to potentially offer him on loan reflects a lack of confidence in his abilities to deliver, despite his potential and talent. With his mental state affected by his situation at the club, Vitor Roque faces a challenging road ahead to prove himself and earn more chances to impress at the highest level. The relationship between him and Xavi will be crucial in determining his future at Barcelona and his ability to fulfill his potential as a top-level player.
