University of Tehran professor predicts US college protesters will rally behind Iran in potential conflict

Professor Foad Izadi, a University of Tehran professor, expressed support for protests on US college campuses in a video interview, believing that these protestors are supporters of Iran in case of a conflict between the two countries. He mentioned that the support for the Zionist regime by the American government will diminish over time, and that the demonstrations on US campuses are important for this purpose. He emphasized the importance of continuing this support beyond protests and highlighted the role of the Islamic Republic in keeping the case of the Palestinian idea alive.

As a member of the Islamic Republic, Izadi referred to himself and the republic collectively, stating that they are closely monitoring the demonstrations and are pleased with the support they see. He highlighted the importance of maintaining connections and networks internationally, especially in recruiting supporters for their cause. Izadi emphasized that in the event of rising tensions between the US and Iran, it is these American people who will be expected to show their support for Iran by participating in protests and demonstrations on the streets.

According to Izadi, there are Hezbollah-style groups in the US that are larger than those present in Lebanon, providing a source of hope for Iran against its main enemy, the United States. Iran expert Lisa Daftari responded to Izadi’s comments, noting the regime’s focus on expanding its influence beyond Iran and its support for terror proxies in the region. Daftari also pointed out the suffering of the Iranian people under their oppressive leaders while they applaud the actions of protestors in the US, highlighting the hypocrisy of the regime.

Daftari further commented on Izadi’s remarks about Hezbollah followers in the US, expressing concerns about the regime’s intentions to manipulate the situation to potentially launch attacks in the West. She questioned whether these attacks would be physical or focused on an information war, or possibly a combination of both. Daftari’s analysis underscored the regime’s efforts to leverage international support and connections to further its agenda, despite the suffering of the Iranian people under their oppressive rule. The regime’s focus on influencing American college campuses as potential supporters in a conflict with the US reflects their strategic approach to expanding their influence globally.
