Izadi emphasized that in the event of rising tensions between the US and Iran, it is these American people who will be expected to show their support for Iran by participating in protests and demonstrations on the streets.
According to Izadi, there are Hezbollah-style groups in the US that are larger than those present in Lebanon, providing a source of hope for Iran against its main enemy, the United States. Iran expert Lisa Daftari responded to Izadi’s comments, noting the regime’s focus on expanding its influence beyond Iran and its support for terror proxies in the region.
