The Kınık Republic Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with the Izmir Organized Crime Combat Unit and the Aliağa Organized Crime Bureau, has initiated an operation against suspects involved in illegal arms trade and manufacturing.
During the operation, which was supported by air, the teams raided the identified addresses and arrested 13 out of the 14 suspects for whom detention warrants were issued.
In the searches conducted at the addresses, 11 pistols, 1 automatic rifle, numerous firearm parts, a quantity of narcotics, and 190 narcotic pills were seized.
Police are continuing their efforts to apprehend one suspect who remains at large.
