A fire broke out for unknown reasons in a wooden factory in Şehit Abdullah Çavuş Neighborhood. Upon receiving the report, a large number of fire brigade teams and ambulances were dispatched to the area. The fire, which quickly grew and lasted for about 5 hours, was intervened by 28 fire trucks, 65 personnel from the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, the Regional Directorate of Forestry, Dulkadiroğlu Municipality, and water tankers from the Kaski General Directorate.

Görgel expressed sadness about the accident where an employee lost his life in a quarry belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality, in addition to the fire incident. He also highlighted the relief that there were no casualties in the fire. After approximately 5 hours of work, the fire was brought under control by the fire brigade teams. The teams are currently continuing their cooling efforts.
