Coast Guard teams from the Northern Aegean Group Command and the mobile radar “MORAD-8” detected 2 rubber boats moving off the coast of Ayvacık. In response, the coast guard ship “TCSG-84” and “TCSG-6” and “KB-20” boats were dispatched to the area. The teams rescued a total of 54 irregular migrants of Afghan, Iranian, Yemeni, and Palestinian nationality, including 15 children, from the boats and brought them to shore.
