Jandarma teams from the District Gendarmerie Command in Aydın conducted an operation in Ankara after receiving information about fake honey being sent from Aydın to the capital. With the participation of personnel from the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, a raid was carried out at the determined address. As a result, 5 tons of counterfeit honey was confiscated from the back of a van at the location.
Two suspects were taken into custody during the operation, and they were fined with an administrative penalty of 655,000 Turkish Lira. The investigation and processing of the suspects are currently ongoing at the gendarmerie.
