In Batman, a 9-year-old boy named Berat and his 12-year-old sister Esma Artun were trapped in a flooded area near the creek while having a picnic with their family. Following the report, 112 Emergency Health, AFAD, gendarmerie, and Batman Fire Department diving teams were sent to the area. The teams successfully rescued the two siblings and brought them to a safe zone.

The incident in Siirt and Batman highlights the dangers of sudden flooding in areas near rivers and dams. It serves as a reminder for the public to be cautious when engaging in activities near water bodies, especially during times when dam gates may open. Prompt response from emergency teams such as AFAD, gendarmerie, and rescue divers is crucial in ensuring the safety of individuals trapped in such situations.

Both incidents ended with successful rescues thanks to the coordinated efforts of emergency response teams. The importance of quick intervention and specialized equipment, such as ropes and diving gear, was evident in saving the lives of the individuals trapped in the flooded areas. The families of the rescued individuals expressed gratitude towards the teams for their swift and effective actions in bringing their loved ones to safety.

Authorities in Siirt and Batman have urged the public to be vigilant and follow safety guidelines when visiting areas near rivers, creeks, and dams. It is essential to be aware of the risks associated with sudden water surges and to avoid areas that may become flooded during dam operations. By staying informed and heeding precautions, individuals can help prevent similar incidents and ensure their own safety when enjoying outdoor activities near water bodies.

As the summer season approaches and more people flock to nature spots for picnics and outings, it is crucial to prioritize safety and awareness of natural hazards such as flooding.
