Jandarma teams in Aydın started an operation upon receiving information that two suspects, A.A. and M.A., were transporting illegal mixed olive oil without tax stamps from Aydın to Bursa.
After technical and physical surveillance, the two suspects were stopped by the gendarmerie teams in Başköy neighborhood of Nilüfer district in Bursa.
During the search of the vehicle, 3,800 liters of illegal mixed olive oil without tax stamps, packaged in plastic bottles, were seized. The olive oils were confiscated by the teams.
The suspects were taken into custody and it was found that they were charged with “producing foodstuff in a way that endangers human health.”
