In operations carried out by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command and Coast Guard Aegean Sea Regional Command between 1-10 May in order to combat irregular migration, a total of 373 irregular migrants who were determined to be preparing for illegal passage were apprehended.
In addition to the migrants, 37 individuals suspected of human smuggling were also taken into custody by the teams.
After the necessary procedures, 17 of the suspects were presented to the court and subsequently arrested by the judge.
