According to a statement on the website of the Coast Guard Command, a group of irregular migrants in distress was reported off the coast of Urla district, prompting the dispatch of a Coast Guard boat to the area. Teams rescued 30 irregular migrants, including 14 children, from 2 dinghies pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements.
In another incident off the coast of Seferihisar district, a fast motorboat was intercepted, and 22 irregular migrants, including 4 children, were apprehended. Following the rescue operation, the migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for processing.
