The NFL has announced the roster for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, with a collection of new faces touted to steal the limelight. Notably, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, and Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers will be making their Pro Bowl debuts. The Baltimore Ravens boast the highest representation with nine players selected, while four teams, the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, and Tennessee Titans, have no players in the initial roster. Surprisingly, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes failed to make the list for the first time in his seven-year career.
This year’s Pro Bowl Games are set to be held in Orlando, Florida, featuring a skills challenge that will span two days in different locations. The initial part of the skills competition taking place at Nicholson Fieldhouse on UCF’s campus on January 30 will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET. The remainder of the event, including the flag football game, will occur at Camping World Stadium on February 2, airing on ESPN and ABC at 3 p.m. ET.
A new trivia element is set to feature in this year’s skills competitions. The segment, dubbed “Passing the test,” will see each quarterback answer a series of trivia questions about other Pro Bowlers from the 2024 season. Correct answers will earn passers more time for their attempts to hit targets. Classic games such as dodgeball and tug-of-war will remain part of the skills competition.
Coaching the AFC and NFC teams will be Peyton and Eli Manning. The NFC emerged victorious over the AFC for the second consecutive year of the Pro Bowl Games in 2024. The announcement of the participating teams comes with keen anticipation, given the mix of experienced and debutant players in the roster.
The AFC’s initial rosters boast players like Josh Allen from the Buffalo Bills, Joe Burrow from the Cincinnati Bengals, and Lamar Jackson from the Baltimore Ravens as quarterbacks. The wide receivers selected includes Ja’Marr Chase from the Cincinnati Bengals, and Jerry Jeudy from the Cleveland Browns. Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, and Trey Hendrickson from the Cincinnati Bengals, will be at the front line of the defense as defensive ends.
For the NFC, quarterbacks Jared Goff from the Detroit Lions, Jayden Daniels from the Washington Commanders, and Sam Darnold from the Minnesota Vikings have been enlisted. The wide receivers consist of Justin Jefferson from the Minnesota Vikings and Amon-Ra St. Brown from the Detroit Lions. On the defensive side, Nick Bosa from the San Francisco 49ers, and Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys will be playing as defensive ends.
