Serhii Bolvinov, the head of the region’s Police Investigation Department, described the impact of one of the strikes, where a guided aviation bomb destroyed half of the 10th floor of a building, leading to damage in nearby apartments on higher and lower floors. One resident, Ksenia Gorvits, recounted how she was playing a synthesizer at home when the strike hit and described the surreal feeling of the event, comparing it to a scene from a movie. Despite the destruction around her, she miraculously remained unharmed, highlighting the random and devastating nature of the attacks on civilian areas.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov expressed concern about the increasing pressure being placed on the city by Russian forces and their tactics of creating fear and displacement among residents.
