Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar announced that citizens will receive water services from Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (SASKİ) at a discounted rate. Alemdar emphasized that they have decided to apply a 20% discount on water in order to contribute to the well-being of the citizens. With this decision, the most quality water, which Sakarya has among all cities, will now reach our homes at an affordable price. The goal is to be one of the municipalities that offer water to its citizens at the most affordable price. The discount applied for residential water use will be finalized in the May council meeting. Alemdar stated, “Congratulations to our citizens.”
Alemdar clarified that the discount will only apply to water used in residences and the regulation will take effect from May onwards. Citizens will benefit from this discount in their water bills starting from May. The aim behind the decision is to support the citizens by providing a better quality of life through access to affordable and high-quality water. Alemdar also mentioned that their goal is to ensure that Sakarya becomes one of the municipalities that offer water services to citizens at the lowest cost. The discount on water usage in households is a step towards achieving this goal and improving the standard of living for the residents of Sakarya.
The decision to apply a discount on water services is rooted in the municipality’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of the citizens. Alemdar emphasized that providing access to clean and affordable water is essential for improving the quality of life of residents in Sakarya. He further highlighted that this measure is part of the municipality’s efforts to prioritize the well-being of the citizens and ensure that essential services such as water are accessible to all at a reasonable cost. By implementing this discount, Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality aims to alleviate the financial burden on residents and facilitate their access to a basic necessity like water.
In a gesture of goodwill towards the citizens, Alemdar expressed his hopes that the discounted water services will be well-received by the residents. He underlined that the decision to introduce a discount on water usage in households reflects the municipality’s commitment to serving the community’s needs and improving their quality of life. Alemdar extended his best wishes to the citizens and reassured them that the discounted water services will bring about positive changes in their daily lives. The upcoming May council meeting will finalize the details of the discount, ensuring that residents benefit from this initiative starting from the following month.
