One of the suspects, technician A.A, was found to be abroad at the time of the incident. The suspects were taken into custody and later transferred to the courthouse for further legal proceedings. Following the incident at the cable car facility during the Ramadan Bayram holiday rush on April 12, where lawyer Memiş Gümüş fell from the shattered cabin and lost his life at the age of 54, Özlem Şahin, Kaan Akgün, Fatih Gümüş, Keziban Çapar Gümüş, Lütfullah Kerim Gümüş, Herdem Eyüpoğlu, and Akmaral Abdyldaeva from Kyrgyzstan were injured.

Due to the system malfunction, 174 people were stranded in 24 cabins hanging in the air for approximately 22.5 hours before being rescued. The cable car facility, which was experiencing high traffic during the holiday season, suffered a tragic accident that resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries. As the investigation proceeds, questions are being raised about the maintenance and safety protocols of the facility, prompting authorities to take swift action in holding those responsible accountable.

The tragic incident at the Tünektepe Cable Car Facility in Antalya has left a community in mourning and raised concerns about the safety standards of public attractions in the region. The 13 suspects arrested in connection with the accident are facing serious charges related to negligence and failure to ensure the safety of visitors at the facility. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper maintenance and safety measures in tourist destinations to prevent such tragic accidents.

As the injured victims recover and the families of the deceased mourn their losses, authorities are working diligently to uncover the causes of the accident and ensure that justice is served. The investigation into the incident at the cable car facility is ongoing, with the hope of preventing similar accidents in the future. The safety of visitors and residents in Antalya remains a top priority, and steps are being taken to address any shortcomings in safety protocols to prevent such incidents from occurring again.
