The Smuggling Crimes Department teams carried out raids on 5 houses, 4 depots, 5 businesses, and 5 vehicles in the Konak, Buca, Karabağlar, and Bayraklı districts as part of their efforts to prevent tobacco and tobacco product smuggling.
During the searches, a total of 9,495,200 filled cigarettes, 1,338,000 empty cigarettes, 1,162 kilograms of hookah tobacco, 811 kilograms of shredded tobacco, 1,500 tax stickers, 61 electronic cigarette devices and liquids, and 19 cigarette rolling machines were seized.
Nineteen suspects were processed for their involvement in the incident.
