Doğa Koruma ve Milli Parklar (DKMP) Tunceli Şubesi received a tip that five individuals were illegally harvesting salep tubers near the village of Göktepe in the district. In response to this information, DKMP officials, accompanied by gendarme teams, went to the area to investigate.
Upon reaching the location, the DKMP team initiated legal proceedings against the five individuals and imposed a fine of 1 million 935 thousand 705 Turkish Lira on them for illegally harvesting the salep tubers. Additionally, three bags of illegally harvested salep tubers were confiscated by the authorities.
