1.2 million lira fine imposed for illegal animal trade in Kırklareli

A joint operation conducted by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Provincial Gendarmerie Command in a village called Turgutbey, found that a cat trade was being conducted in a warehouse. The inspection revealed that the hygiene conditions in the warehouse owned by F.E. were inadequate, with 243 cats being kept in cages.

The cats found in the warehouse were taken to the Lüleburgaz Municipality Animal Shelter. The owner of the warehouse, F.E., was accused of engaging in illegal animal trade and was slapped with a fine of 1,241,973 Turkish Lira. This incident sheds light on the issue of illegal animal trade and the importance of proper care and treatment of animals.

Animal welfare organizations and authorities are continuously working towards combating illegal animal trade and ensuring the well-being of animals.
