Cherry, a renowned manufacturer of high-end keyboards, has recently announced its expansion into the microphone market with the launch of two models in the Ngale Series. These microphones are specially designed for gamers and streamers and will be released under the CHERRY XTRFY brand. The Ngale R is a USB condenser microphone that features a retro design and offers high sound quality. It comes equipped with a single high-quality cardioid capsule, allowing for multiple polar patterns and making it ideal for streaming, voiceovers, and solo recordings. The mic also includes a low-cut filter for reducing noise during intense gaming sessions and features RGB lighting for added visual flair.

Additionally, the Ngale R boasts a user-friendly plug-and-play design, making it easy to install directly into a computer via USB port. The microphone offers a sample rate of up to 96 kHz/24-bit and features a touch-sensitive mute function on the top of the mic, indicated by the RGB lighting. With its retro styling, top-notch performance, and ease of use, Cherry believes that the Ngale R will be a hit among gamers, streamers, and content creators looking to make a statement. The second model in the Ngale Series, the Ngale X, resembles the popular Shure SM7B and combines both XLR and USB interfaces in a dynamic microphone designed for professional recordings.

Featuring a large cardioid capsule, the Ngale X promises exceptional performance at a more affordable price point. This microphone also includes a low-cut filter for minimizing unwanted background noise and RGB lighting that glows red to indicate when the microphone is muted. Thanks to its XLR output, the Ngale X can be connected to a mixer or other professional audio interface. Alternatively, it can be connected directly to a computer via USB for added convenience. The final product announced by Cherry is the Ngale Boom Arm, a flexible microphone arm that features cable management, easy installation, and 360-degree rotation for maximum reach. The boom arm is compatible with both the Ngale R, Ngale X, and other microphones through standard threading.

All three products in the Ngale Series – the Ngale R, Ngale X, and Ngale Boom Arm – are scheduled to be available in stores on May 28. The Ngale R will be priced at $129, while the Ngale X will retail for $189. The Ngale Boom Arm can be purchased for $99. For those interested in the technical specifics of the products, the Ngale R is a condenser microphone with a 16mm cardioid capsule, a frequency response of 20-20,000Hz, and a sample and bit rate of 96 kHz/24-bit. It offers USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jack connections, a 2m braided USB-C to USB-A cable, and an adjustable RGB LED illumination.

On the other hand, the Ngale X is a dynamic microphone with a 25mm cardioid capsule, a frequency response of 50-16,000Hz, and a sample and bit rate of 96 kHz/24-bit. It features USB-C, XLR, and 3.5mm headphone jack connections, a 2m braided USB-C to USB-A cable, and adjustable RGB LED illumination. Both microphones include various controls such as mic gain, mic mute, and headphone volume, as well as internal shock isolation, foam windscreens, and internal pop filters for optimal sound quality. With these innovative products, Cherry aims to provide high-quality microphones that cater to the needs of gamers, streamers, and content creators.
