A woman named Janel Grant has accused former WWE CEO Vince McMahon of sexually abusing her for years. However, it was reported that she wrote a love letter to McMahon claiming he was her “best friend” and “my everything.” Grant’s attorney, Ann Callis, stated that McMahon had coerced her into writing the email, which was 2,200 words long and expressed deep affection for McMahon. McMahon’s attorney, Jessica Taub Rosenberg, denied the allegation of coercion, stating that Grant wrote the letter of her own accord.

The letter, reportedly taken from Grant’s laptop during an investigation on behalf of the WWE’s board, contradicts the claims made by Grant in her lawsuit against McMahon. Callis criticized McMahon for showcasing the letter as a defense against the abuse allegations, characterizing it as further psychological torture of her client. Meanwhile, McMahon’s attorney maintained that Grant’s letter was drafted of her own free will and pointed out that it was the 24th draft, indicating some level of deliberation and revision.

In addition to the alleged love letter, The New York Post obtained text exchanges between McMahon and Grant, showing a conversation three days before the letter was sent. Grant had surgery on her finger, and McMahon responded with concern and affection. The spokesperson for Grant noted that she had added pop culture references to previous love letters at McMahon’s request, such as language from a GQ interview with Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. Grant, who worked for WWE in Stanford, Connecticut, from 2019 to 2022, filed her lawsuit in Connecticut federal court, making serious accusations against McMahon.

In the lawsuit, Grant accuses McMahon of defecating on her head during a threesome in May 2020 and trafficking her to other WWE executives and wrestlers. She also alleges that McMahon caused injuries through the forceful use of sex toys. McMahon has denied these claims, asserting that his relationship with Grant was consensual. McMahon is currently under federal investigation by New York prosecutors for sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations. Former top executive John Laurinaitis is also named as a co-defendant in the lawsuit filed by Grant. The case is expected to proceed through court filings as more evidence, such as the alleged love letter and text exchanges, are presented.
