Winona Ryder recently attended the London premiere of her next film, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, where she glowed as she posed on the red carpet alongside her longtime love Scott Mackinlay Hahn. At the age of 17, Winona became a star with the original Beetlejuice film directed by Tim Burton. The sequel has reunited her with Burton as well as her original co-stars Michael Keaton and Catherine O’Hara. Winona donned a Gothic chic black dress by Prada for the premiere, showcasing her agelessly luminous appearance, while Scott matched her in head-to-toe black attire by Prada as well.

The original 1988 film starred Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis as a couple who die in a car accident and become ghosts haunting their old house. Winona played the daughter of a live couple, portrayed by Jeffrey Jones and Catherine O’Hara. The ghosts enlist the help of an exorcist named Betelgeuse, played by Michael Keaton, to get the living family out of the house. In the sequel, Winona reprises her role as her grown-up character, now with a teen daughter played by Jenna Ortega, facing off against Betelgeuse once again. The film also features Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and new co-stars.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is scheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on September 6 and has a star-studded cast that includes Justin Theroux. At the premiere, Winona expressed her frustration with younger co-stars who do not share her same passion for cinema. While she did not name specific actors, she revealed that Finn Wolfhard, who appeared in Stranger Things with her, is an exception as he is ‘obsessed with Elliot Gould,’ showing an interest in classic Hollywood films. Winona also mentioned Millie Bobby Brown, another Stranger Things co-star, who has admitted to having a limited attention span for films.

In a recent Esquire interview, Winona talked about her love for the boys she worked with on Stranger Things, as well as her younger female co-stars Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke, but did not mention Millie Bobby Brown. This may suggest that Winona has a closer bond with certain co-stars over others. Despite her frustrations with some younger actors, Winona continues to shine in her career, especially with her return to the Beetlejuice franchise alongside her original co-stars and new additions to the cast. As she navigates the world of cinema, Winona’s timeless beauty and talent continue to captivate audiences.
