In Week 4 of the NFL, key takeways include the Eagles’ struggling defense which allowed 445 yards against the Bucs and scored only six sacks in four games. However, the Eagles’ recent form has seen Tom Brady handing the quarterback baton over to Baker Mayfield who has been performing strongly this season and helping maintain the Buc’s competitive edge. They believe Mayfield could turn this season into a strong another contender season for the Bucs.

Meanwhile, the Vikings’ duo, head coach Kevin O’Connell and defensive coordinator Brian Flores, have cultivated quarterback Sam Darnold’s talent and have a top-tier defensive strategy. The Green Bay Packers, on the other hand, could not find their stride in the game due to penalties and drops. The return of Jordan Love provided a mixed performance but they should have used Josh Jacobs, their running back more. The Rams suffered due to injuries to their strong quarterback, Matthew Stafford, but once healthy they should perform better as their defensive front is excellent. However, the Bears have reason to celebrate as they have shown noticeable improvement week-to-week.

The Steelers displayed a potentially powerful offense, although it appeared in a loss. Justin Fields led the offensive charge, throwing for 312 yards and a touchdown. The Colts experienced a turn of luck when Anthony Richardson was injured and replacement Joe Flacco performed excellently, sparking talks of a quarterback controversy. On the other hand, the Saints’ offense under coordinator Klint Kubiak seems to have diminished, showing lackluster form in the past two losses against the Eagles and the Falcons. On the other side, the Falcons’ quarterback, Kirk Cousins, managed to pull off a last-minute win with a powerful kick from Younghoe Koo.

The Jaguars experienced a disheartening defeat and showed no signs of recovery. The Texans found a new wide receiver leader in Nico Collins, who is proving to be a valuable asset. The Broncos have managed to string together two wins based on their powerful defense, but they need to improve offensively. The Jets underperformed in their game against the Broncos and need improvement to compete for a playoff berth. Lastly, the Bengal’s burgeoning offensive power makes them a potential force in the playoffs, despite a slow start to the season.

The Commanders are proving to be surprising NFC East leaders thanks to the standout play of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and the offensive organising of coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Unfortunately, the Cardinals seem to be trying to mould Kyler Murray into a game manager, much to their detriment. The Patriots are on the other end of the spectrum, with their defense crumbling without head coach Bill Belichick. In spite of unsatisfactory execution, the 49ers managed to coast to victory, showing their complete range of talented players. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are still delivering sterling performances with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, even in the face of a knee injury to their top target Rashee Rice.

The Chargers proved their mettle against defending Super Bowl champs, the Chiefs, with Justin Herbert playing excellently despite carrying a high-ankle sprain. The Browns, however, are demonstrating a painful lack of self-discipline which has dropped them to a 1-3 score. The Raiders managed to pull through even in the absence of their best players thanks to a resurrected running game. The Bills showed poor preparation and inability to stand up to the Ravens’ physicality, which contrasts the Ravens’ stellar performance, primarily due to the addition of Derrick Henry to their team.
