Uber announced new product updates at its annual Go-Get showcase in New York City, focusing on helping customers save money on rides and food. The updates are aimed at driving growth and demand across Uber’s mobility and delivery business segments. The company announced new offerings including Uber Shuttle, which allows users to reserve seats on a shared shuttle for a fraction of the price of an UberX ride. The shuttle will initially be available at select venues in Miami, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Charlotte, N.C.

Another new feature, Uber Caregiver, allows caregivers to add loved ones to their profiles to book rides and order supplies on their behalf. Users can link insurance benefits to minimize out-of-pocket costs. The feature will initially support Medicaid recipients, Medicare Advantage users, and those with commercial insurance. Costco is now available on Uber Eats in select U.S. locations, with Costco members saving between 15% and 20% on orders.

Uber has also launched scheduled UberX Share rides in cities with high return-to-office rates, saving users around 25% on average compared to a typical UberX ride. In addition, the company is offering its Uber One membership program for college students at a discounted rate of $4.99 per month, with access to free items and special deals from partner brands. The Uber One Student Plan will launch initially in the U.S., with plans for expansion to other countries later in the year.

Uber is introducing a new feature on Uber Eats called “Lists,” allowing users to curate and share lists of restaurants and go-to spots. Examples include lists like “date night desserts” and “toddler-approved dinners.” The feature aims to enhance the user experience by providing personalized recommendations and curated options. These new product updates reflect Uber’s ongoing efforts to innovate and improve its services, attracting more users to its app and expanding its customer base.
