Two suspects, identified as Turgay Ö. and İsmail G., have completed their procedures at the District Gendarmerie Command. After a health check, the two suspects were referred to the courthouse. Turgay Ö. and İsmail G. were subsequently arrested by the judge who heard the case.

According to a written statement from the Tokat Public Prosecutor’s Office, “On the evening of May 18th, in the Karayaka town of Erbaa district, it is strongly suspected that İsmail G. and Turgay Ö. set up a bomb device in a vineyard house, resulting in an explosion. The suspects have been arrested and sent to prison, and a detailed investigation is ongoing.”

In the district, in the Hürmüzlü neighborhood of Karayaka town, on May 18th, a report was received that some individuals were making loud noises and causing disturbance in the area. As gendarmerie teams arrived on the scene, an explosion occurred for reasons that have yet to be determined. In the incident, 5 gendarmerie personnel and 7 individuals were injured.

Following the incident, the Samsun Atakum District Police Department teams, based on a tip-off, detained two individuals in a vehicle they were monitoring and took the suspects to Tokat for further investigation.

In the ongoing investigation, it has been revealed that the suspects, Turgay Ö. and İsmail G., had allegedly set up a bomb device in a vineyard house in Karayaka town, leading to the explosion that caused injuries to several individuals, including gendarmerie personnel. Both suspects have been arrested and are currently in prison awaiting further legal proceedings.
