Donald Trump made a public appearance without an ear bandage for the first time since being shot in an assassination attempt. During a speech at a summit hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action, Trump criticized Kamala Harris, the vice president, as a “bum” and a failed VP in a failed administration. He also declared Harris to be worse than Joe Biden and much more liberal, taking jabs at her name pronunciation along the way.

Despite his criticism of Harris, Trump also reflected on the recent assassination attempt that left him with a graze wound on his right ear. Up until this appearance, he had been wearing a bandage to cover the wound. Trump told the crowd at Turning Point Action that he removed the bandage specifically for this event, stating that he has recovered well from the incident.

Since Joe Biden dropped his re-election bid and endorsed Harris to take his place as the Democratic nominee, Trump has launched numerous attacks against the vice president. He has accused her of being incompetent and labeled her as “Lyin Kamala Harris.” Harris, in response, has criticized Trump at her own campaign rally, citing her experience as a prosecutor in dealing with predators and fraudsters, and declaring that she knows Trump’s type.

In addition to his criticism of Harris, Trump has consistently taken aim at Democratic politicians, including former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. He has accused the Obama administration of spying on his 2016 campaign and has called for investigations into the Russia investigation. Trump has also accused Clinton of colluding with Ukraine to interfere in the 2016 election and has made baseless claims about Schumer’s handling of immigration issues.

While addressing the crowd at Turning Point Action, Trump highlighted issues such as border security, American jobs, and the economy, promising to continue fighting for his policies and his supporters. He emphasized the importance of conservative values and pushed back against what he referred to as the radical left’s influence on the Democratic Party. Trump also criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis and praised the efforts of border patrol agents.

Despite facing criticism and backlash from political opponents, Trump has continued to maintain a strong presence in the Republican Party and has hinted at a potential run for president in 2024. He remains popular among his supporters and continues to draw large crowds at his public appearances. Trump’s combative style and unapologetic rhetoric have defined his political career, and he shows no signs of backing down from his confrontational approach to politics.
