Travis Scott and Tyga’s friend Alexander “AE” Edwards got into a physical altercation during Richie Akiva’s annual “The After” afterparty in Cannes. The fight broke out around 5 a.m. when Scott and Tyga coincidentally ended up at the DJ booth at the same time. It escalated after Akiva praised Tyga and Edwards on the mic, causing Scott to snatch the mic away and prompting Edwards to try and de-escalate the situation. Scott allegedly became aggressive, leading to a physical altercation between Edwards and Scott and his producer friend Southside.

The tension between Scott and Tyga is said to stem from their shared history of dating Kylie Jenner, but sources claim that the altercation was not directly tied to her. Scott allegedly made threatening remarks towards Tyga’s security during the altercation. Southside reportedly joined the fight to support Scott, leading to a brawl between the two groups on stage. Despite the chaos, security was able to intervene and the party continued without any serious injuries. Both Scott and Southside left the scene, while Tyga, Edwards, and their group stayed at the party.

Contrary to some reports, Tyga himself was observed by witnesses as not actively participating in the physical fight, remaining calm throughout the incident. Video obtained by Page Six shows Scott and Southside physically engaged with Edwards while partygoers watched in shock. The scuffle was eventually broken up by security, and the party resumed as if nothing had happened. Representatives for Scott, Edwards, and Tyga did not respond to requests for comment on the incident.

The annual party, co-hosted by various personalities, featured DJ sets from popular artists and had Cher as a special performer earlier in the night. Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila was featured at the event, which was powered by several sponsors. The altercation between Scott, Tyga, and Edwards took place towards the end of the party, but did not significantly disrupt the overall festivities. Despite the drama, attendees managed to continue enjoying the event until the early hours of the morning. No serious injuries were reported, and security was able to diffuse the situation before any further escalation occurred.
