San Francisco 49ers star receiver Brandon Aiyuk recently signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension, making him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL. Aiyuk reportedly rejected more money from two other teams to stay with the 49ers. This new deal keeps Aiyuk in San Francisco for the next five seasons, tying him with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill as the fifth-highest-paid receiver in the league, both earning $30 million per year.

The highest-paid receiver in the NFL is Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, who signed a four-year, $140 million contract this offseason, earning $35 million annually. Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb follows as the second-highest-paid receiver, with his four-year, $136 million deal earning him $34 million per year. Philadelphia Eagles WR AJ Brown also saw a record-setting contract this offseason, agreeing to a three-year, $96 million extension, earning $32 million annually.

In the top five highest-paid receivers, Aiyuk and Hill both earn $30 million per year, with Aiyuk agreeing to his deal with the 49ers since August. Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill, who originally signed a four-year, $120 million contract in 2022, also earns $30 million annually. Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is just above Hill and Aiyuk, earning $30.02 million annually with his four-year, $120 million extension that includes $77 million guaranteed.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams is the eighth-highest-paid receiver, earning $28 million each year from his five-year, $140 million contract with the Raiders. He had a strong first season in Las Vegas, with 1,515 yards and 14 touchdowns. Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle follows Adams, earning $28.25 million each year from his three-year, $84.75 million extension with the Dolphins. Waddle is considered one of the most productive No. 2 receivers in the NFL.

Brandon Aiyuk’s contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers solidifies his place among the league’s highest-paid receivers. The significant increase in earnings for top receivers like Aiyuk, Jefferson, Lamb, and others is reflective of the premium placed on elite talent at the position. As the NFL continues to value standout receivers, we may see even more record-setting contracts in the future, cementing the importance of these playmakers in the league.
